Number of chants — To get rid of any pain or disease, there is a rule of chanting this mantra 1.25 lakh times and its tenth part is havan i.e. 12500 aahuti havan. By increasing the number of chants, the havan can be made a little shorter. Or according to the capacity, half or quarter of 1.25 lakh can also be done. Chant in a clean place or in a Shiva temple. Select 5 to 7 eligible Brahmins and then start the Puja. Also perform Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva and chant the mantra using Rudraksha beads.
